Customer's benefit

The GIS vacuum lifter named GH was developed for the safe and convenient handling of airtight materials such as glass, metal, plastic, or stone. Whether in the glass industry, metal construction, or carpentry, the powerful vacuum handling system makes it possible to transport heavy loads of up to 1000 kg effortlessly. This allows work processes to be made more efficient, ergonomics to be improved, and operating costs to be reduced in the long term.

Flexible, customized vacuum device
The number, size, and arrangement of the suction surfaces/suction cups are individually tailored to the respective transport goods. Thanks to numerous options, the plate lifter can be precisely adapted to operational requirements. Individual suction surfaces can be switched off separately if required. A rotatable main crossbar enables precise alignment of the load, while optional tilting or turning devices move the transported goods safely from the horizontal to the vertical position or to the opposite side, ideal for applications as a glass lifting or turning device.

All-round solution for efficient material handling
The GH vacuum lifter is offered by GIS as part of a complete vacuum handling system, including a suitable electric chain hoist, overhead crane, or slewing crane. In close cooperation with our technicians, the crane system is precisely tailored to the spatial conditions and the goods to be transported. All lifting and traveling movements can be carried out continuously via a frequency inverter on request, allowing the load to be moved gently and with low oscillation. The central control unit allows precise control of the vacuum generation and all lifting and traveling movements. This enables workpieces to be positioned with pinpoint accuracy and workflows to be optimized.

Well-designed safety features for everyday work
Like all GIS vacuum lifters, the GH also meets the safety requirements of European standard EN 13155. An integrated vacuum tank with a non-return valve ensures that the vacuum remains sufficient to hold the load securely for at least five minutes in the event of a vacuum drop and/or power failure. A visual warning indicator informs the operator of a loss of vacuum so that the load can be set down in a controlled manner. In addition, two-hand operation prevents the load from being dropped unintentionally, ensuring maximum safety for the operator, the operating equipment, and the load.
