An innovative Swiss manufacturer since 1863, Glutz AG has a long tradition in the production of locks and fittings, which are manufactured in a wide variety using sophisticated craftsmanship.
Sheet metal panels serve as the raw material for this. They are stacked in various sizes in the intermediate store. This is also the case with the 2m long and 1m wide sheets, which are cut to size with the sheet metal laser system located in the same room.
In order to enable one person to load the sheets, which can weigh up to 200 kg, the company went in search of a suitable lifting device. The solution offered by the company GIS AG, to carry out the transfer from the rack to the laser table by means of a stacker crane, was completely convincing. The combination of a GISKB light crane system for area coverage and the stacker crane with integrated vacuum unit is able to fulfil the requirements in an optimal way.
Storage and retrieval units are particularly suitable for limited space conditions due to their ideal use of space. Mrs. Sabine Schoch from Glutz AG says: "The close cooperation with the technical advisor from GIS and the competent solution development have convinced us and we can gladly recommend this company".
