Quickly, safely and carefully loading windscreens, which weigh up to 350kg, for their transport
Modern train windows are made of multi-layer laminated glass. Curved shapes are produced in a special process. These heavy as well as bulky loads can be transported simply and easily by means of special vacuum lifters. For this purpose, a new type of suction spider can be adapted to different surface shapes and the special suspension ensures load balancing.
Cylindrically or spherically curved windscreens for modern high-speed trains are manufactured at the company Glas Trösch AG Fahrzeugglas in Ursenbach. The special vacuum lift GIS-Vacujet RVPK carefully lifts the unwieldy and sensitive load using four arms and a maximum of 32 suction plates. Numerous adjustment possibilities ensure that it can be adapted to virtually any shape, from concave to convex. Thanks to the 180° tilt and the 360° range of rotation, the windscreens can be easily moved into many different positions. A special suspension with a spring balance ensures a constantly stable centre of gravity.
