By means of special vacuum lifters, both heavy and bulky glasses can be gently transported and precisely inserted into prefabricated frames. The handling system described here consists of a GIS aluminum crane system with a vacuum lifter of type GHGE, in which compressed air is used to generate the safe vacuum.
